Harbor Regional Center offers support groups of various types to serve all kinds of people - parents, grandparents, siblings, single parents, disabled parents, to name a few.  If there is a need, we'll even create a new group.  We want to know what kind of support group you would be interested in attending. Support Group Inquiry

Many of the support groups have a Harbor Regional Center facilitator, so as to better communicate your concerns and answer your questions.  The HRC groups that meet at HRC Torrance or HRC Long Beach include:

South Bay Autism
Come and share information and resources with other families at the South Bay Autism Support Group

Down Syndrome
The DownSyndrome Support Group of the South Bay provides parent to parent support, information sharing, education and guest speakers.

Adult Siblings Support Group
This group will be a time when Adult Sibling can share stories and strategies and obtain valuable information regarding developmental disablities.

Unidad Y Fuerza

Sibling Club!
Sibling Club meetings are designed for children ages 7 - 16 who are siblings of HRC clients

Parent to Parent
Mentors are available for HRC parents who would like peer support.

Grandparents Support Group
A place where grandparents can come to receive information and supoort as it relates to their grandchild with a developmental disability.

Korean Parent Group
This group is designed to offer support to Korean parents who have a son or daughter who is an HRC client.
